Urban Decay has done it again with the Naked Smoky eyeshadow palette. This is the fourth Naked palette, titinada including either of the Naked Basics palettes, and it’s just as irresistible as the others! I’m going to show you swatches and a smoky eye tutorial using the Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette, so let’s get into it!

Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette

Like the other 3 Naked palettes, this one has 12 shades, including satin, matte, and sparkly finishes. There are a range of neutral and dark colors that can be grouped together for a ton of different looks. In this palette, there are 9 new shades along with 3 from past palettes. It’s not hard to achieve a beautiful smoky eye when there’s such a great variety of color!

I’ve been using mine everyday. Despite all of the palettes I have, I’m reaching for this one a lot! The shadows are nicely pigmented and blend very easily with each other. The case is pretty cool with it’s smoky appearance and it has a magnetic closure instead of a snapping one.

I especially love the shimmer shades!

Here’s a smoky eye in 5 easy steps using the Naked Smoky palette.

Step 1

Step 1 - Urban Decay Naked Smoky

Make sure your eyes are primed and ready to go. Apply High (shimmering champagne) on the lid, focusing mainly on the inner half.

Step 2

Step 2 - Urban Decay Naked Smoky

Apply Whiskey (rich brown matte) to the outer half of the lid, blending as you go. You can also bring this color into the crease, using a light hand.

Step 3

Step 3 - Urban Decay Naked Smoky

Use Black Market (black satin) to deepen the outer corner of the eye as well as the outer crease. This part requires a lot of blending! I used the brush that came with the palette to apply and blend.

Step 4

Step 4 - UD Naked Smoky look

Use Thirteen (light cream satin) to highlight under the brow and the inner corner. I used the other end of the palette brush for this step.

Step 5

Step 5 - Urban Decay Naked Smoky

Apply liner to both top and bottom lash lines. I used a gel liner on top and the 24/7 liner in Perversion for the bottom. Then, apply 1 or 2 coats of your favorite mascara. I used UD’s Perversion mascara. The finished look…..
