Opened in June 2009, the 5.4-km bridge is the longest in Indonesia and the first bridge to cross the Madura Strait. The cable-stayed portion has three spans with lengths 192 m, 434 m and 192 m. The bridge has two lanes in each direction plus an emergency lane and a dedicated lane for motorcycles in each direction. The successful completion of the Suramadu bridge has encouraged interest in the possibility of constructing a much larger Sunda Strait Bridge across the Sunda Strait at the western end of Java What to explore at Suramadu National Bridge? It is fascinatingly constructed and is beautiful when lit up at night. Whilst doing the trip across the bridge it is well worth stopping at Madura. There are many colourful and beautiful batiks at a quarter the price of the larger shops. The people are friendly and there are lots of things to see. Their wood carvings and furniture are easily distinguishable by the bright colours they use in their finishings. On the Madura side, you’ll find plenty of souvenir stands to buy T-shirts. Selling points

The longest bridge in Indonesia, crossing it can be tricky sometimes due to the strong cross winds. Will take every opportunity to cross the bridge to go to the famous ‘Dendang laut Sinjay’. The only disappointing thing is that after the trip you can’falak get a satisfactory portion to satisfy your bud. Better be there early to ensure it is worth the trip.
Its better go to here in the afternoon or night…cos not really hot and u can see nice lighting here.u can take a picture but must quick….sooo lets tried
